YORKSHIRE MAIN COLLIERY

The following cartoons are taken from the Yorkshire Main News Paper THE LINK.

This was  published by the Union at Yorkshire Main which at the time included Frank Arrowsmith and the late Ian Ferguson.

The Link News Paper was unique at the time and very controversial.  It was disliked by the Management and wound them up big style! Probably due to the fact that lots of the cartoons were directed at them.  The cartoons were drawn by Dave Brennan from Maltby Colliery.  Although directed at Yorkshire Main they will apply to any colliery and I'm sure anyone involved in the mining industry will still find them funny.
